I noticed that in your list of alternative snacks, every one of the four listed is a high-carb food. That's exactly the kind of diet I followed up until seven years ago, when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I can't help but think that my low-fat, high-carb diet might have contributed to this chronic illness I now have to deal with.
I now snack on such things as nuts and low-fat cheese.

My question is; Why when I eat in the morning does it seem to Turn On the hunger and make me feel hungry all day? If I Don't eat in the morning I am fine and can win against temptation.

I had a stroke which left me with severe balance problems, I use a walker.I was given high dosage of prednisone as treatment and gained 80 pounds. I was 117 when I started!It is hard to do regular exercises due to the balance problem and need to exercise badly. I just started using dumbbells and would like a good regimen for abdomen and the legs. I have hyperextended knee and drop foot.I am a mess! I do have the stamina for exercise but am at a loss for exercises to do.If you could help I would greatly appreciate it. Dee, Cole489N@aol.com
Because I eat healthy and exercise daily my weight has been controlled most of my adult life. I am 60 and very active. I was finally able to quit smoking 10 weeks ago. I am eating the same, exercising, being careful not to snack but the weight is piling on fast, 14 lb. gain already. What happened? Is my metabolism out of whack? What can I do? I don't want to smoke again but I'm tempted. Help! I hate the added weight.

Nicotine is a stimulant and there is a possibility that it has affected your metabolism. Although you may be eating healthy it is very possible that there has been an increase in daily caloric intake that has gone unnoticed. I would be willing to bet that making a few adjustments to your food intake and making sure there is some gradually increase of intensity, and some added variety to your exercise routine you will be able to reverse your weight gain.
I would love to join is this the phone # you call to listen in and put in the code # after or do you listen to it online? I go to church at 7pm tonite so if you record it I will be able to listen to it online later?
I have been thin most of my life but now I am 31 and my boyfriend eats red meat and ice cream and potato chips and southern cooking. I am starting to p/up his habits and have gained from 140 to 160+. I started doing yoga/pilates and walking briskly up steep hills again. I try to eat small meals 6 a day lotts of water and veggies and fruit. I love sweets but only have a lil a day. Hope to hear some new helpful ideas for keeping in shape and good health and being able to eat moderately what I want.

Can hormones have anything to do with weight gain. I am post menopausal and the weight began piling up going through the change.

I have been on weight watchers for 2 years and have lost 65 lbs. However my efforts have recently failed. Why? Is my body just getting used it it? I have really stepped up my journaling. Help!

I presume that by stalled you are referring to a cessation in weight loss. To make an accurate recommendation for you I would need to know more details. But, you may have hit the nail directly on the head in querying whether you have just gotten used to it. It is very possible, actually probable, that needing an adjustment in food intake, food composition distribution and physical activity is what is needed. It may surprise you that some minor adjustments stimulate your fat loss progress to start up again.
