Is Greg Alario Full of Malarkey?
In an effort to lead by example, I am personally going to take Greg Alario's "Fat Burning Lifestyle" (FBL) fitness challenge.
---
Greg talks a good game but lets see if he can really help me achieve results. I'm going to document my progress.
My first goal is to lose 10 pounds by April 1st. Wish me luck.
Why am I doing this? Well, there are several reasons:
1) I want to inspire others to take control of their health a drop those excess pounds in time for summer.
2) As of Mar 15th, I'm tipping the scales at 260 pounds (see pictures below) which is the heaviest I've ever been. I'm not happy with my weight and I'm sick of saying I'm going to do something about it and not taking action.
3) I made a promise to two little munchkins to take better care of my health and daddy can't go back on his promise. See pictures below.

Ron, I wish you luck. I need to loose at least 100 pounds myself and have been looking for some place on line with the support and a decent diet plan to follow. My problem is that I cannot expect the rest of my household to follow the same diet as I do, I have my four year old niece and ten year old nephew that live with me. If I could find a diet that has foods that they would enjoy as well would be so much easier for me. Again good luck.
One and a half years ago,I did have bariatric stomach surgery. To date I have lost 100 lbs. But I do need to lose at least 50 or more lbs. Sure it sounds so easy. But I can only eat very small amounts and I still am at a stand still. At this point, excersize will be the key to future success. Am looking forward to learning along with everyone else!!!!
Hi Ron. I would like to congratulate you on making the decision to get healthier and lose the excess weight. Your "Y's" are great as mine were the same. I was 220# and am now down to 189#. My success was obtained through my XXXXXXXXX program. A side benefit to losing these 31 pounds is that my energy level has gone through the roof. I feel like I did when I was in High School, and I graduated 35 years ago. I also have asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and have had 3 heart attacks since the age of 40. I am now 52. I used to use my XXXXX discus inhaler twice a day as prescribed and my rescue inhaler at least once a day if not more. Since I joined my program, I have not used the Advair inhaler and have only used my rescue inhaler 6 times in the last 4 1/2 months. I will be speaking with my medical doctor soon to do some testing to get off of the high blood pressure medicine along with stopping the statin medication I am on for high cholesterol. To make a long story short (sorry, but I really passionate about my system), if the FBL system doesn't work, or if you find it to be not as healthy as you might like it to be, I would like to invite you to lookat my products and weight loss system. Again, Congratulation on making the decision to get healthier and Great Luck and Sucess to you and yours. Bob T.
Ron, I wish you luck.
I need to loose at least 100 pounds myself. I have been looking for something online to give me advice and assistance.
I am a female, weighing in over 225at 5'4". Not a healthy thing.
I know little about my family history with the exception of close family. Mother and grandmother both diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. Aunt who died of cancer. Great aunt of major heart attack.
Father's side cancer/uncle; high blood pressure, heart attack, diabetes also from what little information I can get.
I have I think it is called allergy related asthma, high blood pressure and my cholesterol could use some lowering.
I have always enjoyed walking but at this point I have no energy to do so. I am sure there are some other factors besides the excessive weight gain.
Part of my problem was illness related. Plus some medications I was prescribed for the illness.
No I am not making excuses just telling the facts. I need more exercise, more healthier eating. No longer on the medication and had surgery for the illness.
I would like to have energy, to be around a bit longer to enjoy my nieces and nephews.
So good luck to you Ron. Congratulations to those who have found a healthier lifestyle and succeeded in doing so and maintaining it. And to those who are like me well I wish you luck also in losing the weight, becoming healthier.
God Bless You All

Hey Ron,
It usually is an eye opener when people choose to start a healthy lifestyle. I myself have a young daughter as well (and looking to add another as well!) and I want to be around and living a healthy life for my children, as well as for myself. The hardest part is just to start, then keeping with it follows. Most people don't realize it but you must change your lifestyle as a whole. Most people will fail or yo-yo because they want a quick fix. There is no quick fix...you must stay the distance! Keep me informed of this diet of which you speak of, I am definitely interested!
Ron first I'd like to say congratulations. A few co-workers and I have started a small competition about loosing our excess weight and I'm looking to loose about 35 pounds which is not much compared to the guys I work with who want to loose like 50-75 pounds. However, they seem to be melting the pounds off and I'm not. People have told me guys loose faster and easier than females. So if I could find something to help me because the eating more smaller healthier meals and exercise is not cutting it. Again best of luck.
Ron, thank you for your example and encouragement. I'm very interested in joing the program, but wondered if you knew if it would be approved for diabetics?
